Do you want to work with socially vital infrastructure and contribute to the development of the future power grid? We are now looking for an experienced and independent grid planner for a position with a major player in the energy sector.

In this role, you will work with cable relocation projects within the regional grid and be responsible for the entire process – from incoming requests to investment decisions and handover to the project organization.

Job Responsibilities

As a grid planner, you will work with planning, analysis, and coordination of cable relocation projects within the regional grid. The role involves close collaboration with both customers and internal specialist functions.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Monitor and handle incoming relocation cases via the designated email inbox
• Maintain ongoing dialogue and coordination with customers and external stakeholders
• Develop technical solutions and investment calculations for relocation cases
• Drive grid planning according to established investment processes together with asset owners and area-responsible grid planners
• Perform investment prioritizations and compile decision materials such as:
• alternative studies
• investment calculations
• risk and sustainability analyses
• Be responsible for handover to project managers prior to the implementation phase
• Lead and coordinate internal specialist resources, such as:
• land surveyors
• concession specialists
• power system analysts
• grid planners within the regional grid

We are looking for you who

Are communicative, structured, and accustomed to driving work independently. You have good technical understanding and thrive in a role where coordination, analysis, and business acumen are important parts of the work.

Requirements

• Documented experience in high voltage power within regional grids 36–170 kV
• Ability to independently handle grid planning and contract management for regional grids, both substations and lines
• Experience with:
• substation and line inventory
• status and risk assessments
• feasibility studies
• cost calculations
• Valid ESA training
• Good Swedish language skills (written and spoken)

Merits

• Experience with revenue regulation and investment calculations
• Knowledge of AutoCAD
• Local knowledge and experience of regional grids in Central Sweden
• Basic knowledge of ground conditions and geotechnics
